Learn and Enjoy Polo

| Learn and enjoy polo in the sunny south where you can see great polo action and attend a club polo umpire clinic. Whether you are a practicing umpire or just want to improve your own skills, these clinics are designed to help you have more fun at the sport. Week-long clinics will be conducted from mid January through mid April. |
Clinic Objectives
|
| The clinic objective is to help club umpires gain the knowledge and experience needed to pass the current USPA Rules test and to improve their field judgment through study and practice of the latest rules and umpire procedures. |
Accomplishing the Objectives
|
To accomplish these objectives, class members will receive instruction through:
• Observing Professional umpires at work officiating high goal games.
• Classroom study and discussions of rules and interpretations.
• Practice umpiring up to three games.
• Review and critique to assess performance and make adjustments.
• Summarize progress and make plans for continuing experience. |

| Bob Stuerzebecher has had many years of experience conducting polo umpire clinics at polo clubs across the country. Having played and umpired the game for many years all over the world, he combines that knowledge with his own love of the game to teach club players how to officiate polo. Since 1996 when this program first began, over 100 students from around the world have participated in these PTF sponsored clinics. |
Registration Fee

| The registration fee of $300.00 covers teaching materials and umpire horse costs. Class members should bring a check made out to PTF to the first classroom session. |

Sunday - Students arrive at Vero Beach Polo
Monday - 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. • Classroom session • Read and discuss rules of polo
Tuesday - 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. • Classroom session
Wednesday - Start to take Rules Test • 3:00 p.m. - Umpire practice game at Vero Beach Polo
Thursday - 10:30 a.m. - Umpire practice game at PK Polo • 1 p.m. - Watch High Goal game at S. Florida Polo
Friday - Finish Rules Test • 3:00 p.m. - Umpire practice game at Vero Beach Polo
Saturday - Watch 2 games at Vero Beach Polo at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Sunday - Watch 2 games at Vero Beach Polo at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. |
